How Do I Meet People?
Poplar Grove is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant a community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Poplar Grove Baptist Church.
Small Groups
Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, we have small bible studies every Sunday morning at 9:30.
Youth Ministry
Each Sunday and Wednesday evening the youth get to participate in their own class. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that everyone gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction. The youth ministry of Poplar Grove Baptist Church is recognized for their close interaction.
Young Adults
Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. The young adult group of Poplar Grove Baptist Church provides a welcoming atmosphere for college and early-career aged young people.
Women’s Group
Poplar Grove’s Women’s Group gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women meet on the first Monday night of each month, for Bible study, prayer, and fellowship.
Men’s Group
The men of Poplar Grove meet on the first Saturday morning of each month for breakfast and prayer. The men also take on various mission projects such as repairing the homes of our shut-ins, building ramps for the disabled, tree-trimming, and other service projects for those in need.
Sunshine Club
Once you get past fifty, the fun has just begin. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the over-50 group of Poplar Grove, known as the Sunshine Club, provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. They meet each month for a dinner and fun and often take trips to the mountains or other locations.
